Speech Day
Date: 10/02/2025
Our school's annual Speech Day was held on January 10, 2025, at Shiu Kin Hall, blessed with delightful weather that provided an ideal backdrop for this special event. Clad in sharp suits and stylish outfits, the graduates gathered before the formal program began, enjoying tea and socializing with their teachers and parents.
The ceremony commenced with an opening prayer led by Prof. Allan YUEN, followed by a welcoming address from our School Supervisor, the Revd. Christine HO. The principal's detailed annual report celebrated the school's accomplishments and recognized the combined efforts of both students and staff.
We were privileged to host Canon Dr. the Hon. Moses CHENG Mo-chi, GBM, GBS, JP, Chairman of Hong Kong Sheng Kung Hui Education Services, along with Mrs. CHENG Yuen Pui-yan and Mr. Richard Y. S. TANG, GBS, JP, son of the late Sir Tang Shiu Kin, as our distinguished Guests of Honour. Canon Dr. the Hon. Moses CHENG encouraged students to keep a grateful attitude and to embrace failure, emphasizing that failure is the stepping stone to success and is essential for personal growth. As the world evolves rapidly, he advised students to prepare themselves to navigate this changing landscape through continuous learning.
After his insightful address, Mrs. CHENG distributed certificates to the graduates, while Mr. TANG presented awards for exceptional achievements.
In his vote of thanks, the former Head Boy conveyed his deep appreciation to everyone who played a role in the students’ accomplishments. The event also featured captivating performances by the school choir and orchestra, highlighting the exceptional talent and commitment of the students.
As the formal proceedings concluded, the graduates took this moment to capture lasting memories with their teachers and parents through photographs. The event radiated joy and will be fondly remembered as an extraordinary occasion. We sincerely wish for our graduates to continue excelling in their academic pursuits and to follow their dreams in life.
