Introduction
Objectives of Physical Education in TSK
Physical Education is "education through the physical". It aims to develop students’ physical competence and knowledge of movement and safety, and their ability to use this to perform in a wide range of activities associated with the development of an active and healthy lifestyle.
This can be divided into several objectives:
● To develop students’ confidence and generic skills, especially those of collaboration, communication, creativity, critical thinking and aesthetic appreciation.
● To improve students’ knowledge of movement, health and fitness, values on good sportsmanship, sports practice in safety, aesthetic appreciation and leadership training in sports activities.
● To develop an assessment method to evaluate teaching and learning in physical activities and teaching.
● To encourage PE teachers to make flexible use of the time, space, resources and facilities available to enrich their school-based curriculum.
● To incorporate the P.E. curriculum and activities into the whole school annual plan.

● Interesting and enjoyable physical activities to motivate students to learn.
● Safety considerations in the designing and organization of physical activities.
● Coherent and linked programmes of different key learning stages to ensure the continuity of the curriculum.
